The Martin Luther King Junior Soccer League’s mission is to provide an opportunity for student athletes to learn the
fundamental skills of soccer as well as life lessons that they might not experience on their own.  Our goal is to foster a
positive environment where individuals can participate in workshops and community outreach projects which expose them to conflict resolution, decision making skills, higher educational opportunities, positives role models and other activities deemed appropriate for positive youth development. The MLKJSL strive to provide its student athletes the opportunity to reach their full potential on the field and in the classroom.

Martin Luther King Junior Soccer League is dedicated to the development of youth soccer players in a safe and competitive environment. 

Values we believe in:

1.    Continuous education and development of players to prepare them for the future both on and off the field.

2.    Using soccer as a tool to teach life lessons

3.    Creating a respectful environment where players can hone skills such as communication, teamwork, time management,
       responsibility and discipline.

4.    Striving to ensure all soccer players are given a balanced soccer experience and quality coaching.

5.    Providing a positive environment for all soccer players to participate, enjoy and achieve success.

6.    Allowing all players, the opportunity to play soccer. Everyone has the potential to play soccer and we will encourage each
       player to recognize this potential and aspire to play the game. 

7.    Engaging the entire community to be involved with our club development and successes through a variety of effective
       alliances, partnerships and networks.
